Admission criteria
Master of Applied Finance
Applicants are required to have an undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian tertiary institution or a qualification deemed to be equivalent. Applicants with other academic and/or professional qualifications and/or work experience acceptable to the University will be considered.
Graduate Certificate in Finance
Applicants are required to have an undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian tertiary institution or a qualification deemed to be equivalent. Applicants with other academic and/or professional qualifications and/or work experience acceptable to the University will be considered.
Credit
Master of Applied Finance
Applicants who have completed the Graduate Certificate in Finance will be awarded credit for the four subjects completed in the Graduate Certificate.
Applicants who have completed the Graduate Certificate in Financial Planning will be awarded credit for the four subjects completed in the Graduate Certificate.
Graduate Certificate in Finance
No special arrangements apply.
Articulation
The Master, the Graduate Diploma [exit point only] and the Graduate Certificate make up an articulated set of courses and credit is given in each higher level course for the subjects completed in the lower.

Course structure
Master of Applied Finance
The course consists of 12 subjects, six of which are core subjects. For the general award of Master of Applied Finance the remaining six subjects are to be taken from the restricted elective offering. This provides students with the ability to 'tailor' their degree to suit their particular personal and career needs. For specialisations students select 4 subjects from a restricted specialisation set of subjects and the remaining two subjects drawn from the full set of restricted electives.
