Admission criteria
To qualify for candidature applicants must hold:
- a relevant Honours degree (minimum Level 2 Division 1);
- a relevant four-year degree;

a relevant three-year degree plus Graduate Diploma;
or - a relevant three-year degree plus a demonstrated research ability and additional study.
Applicants who do not meet these criteria should consult the Sub-Dean for Graduate Studies for advice. Admission to candidature is subject to approval by the Board of Graduate Studies.

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 128 points.
Course structure
Students complete a period of study and research, and prepare a thesis at an adequate standard as assessed by examiners appointed by the University's Board of Graduate Studies to the University.

Students will enrol in one of the following discipline based research subjects for the period of their candidature:
- BMS601 Master Research (Biomedical Sciences) parttime
- BMS602 Master Research (Biomedical Sciences) fulltime
Additional subjects may be required subject to approval by the Board of Graduate Studies.
