Articulation agreements

The course will follow the standard IT Masters course model, i.e. where students complete six academic subjects and the equivalent of six industry related subjects that hold joint accreditation with the relevant industry body. In this case the industry link is with the UK based Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) - through its local representative the Australian College of Marketing (ACM).

The six industry subjects are based on the current CIM Postgraduate Diploma in Chartered Marketing delivered in Australia by ACM. CSU staff will assist in the moderation of assessment to ensure consistency with Faculty and University guidelines.

Completion of the course will see students eligible for accreditation as a Chartered Marketer.

Professional recognition

The course is to be accredited with the UK based Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). This association comprises some 50,000 members worldwide and is the world's leading body for the Marketing profession. The aim of the CIM is to have the descriptor "Chartered Marketer" as globally accepted as Chartered Account, Chartered Engineer and Insurance Fellow.

The inclusion of the industry subjects that are based on the CIM Postgraduate Diploma in Chartered Marketing will see this accreditation provided. Accreditation can only be achieved through the completion of the CIM course.
