Abstract:
Candidates enrolled in the Bachelor of Business (Accounting) (Honours) course are required to prepare a dissertation proposal, conduct approved research under supervision, and present the results of their research for examination in a form approved by the Faculty of Commerce.

Enrolment restrictions:
Completion of the compulsory courswork and restricted to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Business (Accounting)(Honours) course.
Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
Critically investigate a theoretical or applied accounting issue.
Write up the results of the investigation as a dissertation.
Appreciate the value of ethical practice.
Syllabus:
The subject will cover the following topics:
Pursue a program of research relevant to accounting resulting in a dissertation that contributes to the theory or practice of accounting. Conduct research based on the approved dissertation proposal, working with approved supervisor/s. Present research findings in an approved dissertation form for examination by examiners approved by the University.
