Abstract:

This subject is designed as an introduction to financial accounting, management accounting and finance for those working in a business environment. Students will gain an understanding of the generally accepted accounting principles underlying the accounting process and the uses and limitations of financial statements published by business entities. Accounting and finance issues faced by management and some of the techniques used by managers in decision making will be addressed.
