ACG505 Professional Work Practice (8)

Abstract:

Students who have completed at least three semesters of study will be able to undertake a program of supervised workplace experience. Students will spend 140 hours during a semester working on a project or activity in a private or public sector organisation under the guidance of a workplace mentor and an academic assessor. Students will gain experience of Australian workplace culture and environment while being involved in a range of activities in fields such as accounting, finance, taxation and auditing. Students will be individually placed with suitable organisations and the type of work experience will vary.

Workplace Learning

This subject contains a Compulsory Workplace Learning component of 20 days duration.

Students will spend 140 hours during a semester working on a project or activity in a private or public sector organisation under the guidance of a workplace mentor and an academic assessor. Workplace experience will differ for each student depending on the host organisation and specific assigned project. The nature of the work experience will be determined jointly by a workplace mentor and an academic member of staff.
