Abstract:
Students undertake professionally supervised practicums in advertising, media or marketing communication environments or marketing communication organisations. Reflection on the experience gained is encouraged in fieldwork reports and the students' performance is assessed by public and private sector employers, according to set critieria laid out in internship documents provided to students and their hosts.

Available to students enrolled in Bachelor of Communication (Advertising) and Batchelor of Communication (Advertising)/Batchelor of Business(Marketing).
Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- be able to integrate the theory and practice of advertising and marketing communication more closely;
- be able to analyse, plan and undertake advertising and marketing communication tasks as part of a team in a professional work environment;
- be able to demonstrate knowledge of advertising and marketing communication practices in common usage in media and/or business environments.
Syllabus:
The subject will cover the following topics:
- preparation for the professional advertising and marketing communication environment;
- developing a portfolio of professional work;
- self-assessment in a professional context;
- establishing professional networks.
