ASC381 Equine Industry Practicum 2 (8)

Duration: One session

Abstract:

The industry placement is the final three weeks of compulsory placement that some of the students may complete. The selection of the type of practice must allow compliance with the overall requirements of the Equine Course. Students are expected to be actively engaged in activity for no less than 7 hours per day. Placement can be in any part of the Equine Industry in Australia or in other countries but must be approved by the School before students attend.

To develop a familiarity of the operation of business activity in specific areas of interest and skills that may lead to future careers and activity in a national and international commercial situation.

The subject will cover the following topics:

Workplace Learning

This subject contains a Compulsory Workplace Learning component of 15 days duration.

Students are required to spend 15 working days within a single industry placement.  This placement must differ to that undertaken in ASC380 Equine Industry Practicum 1.

Specialised Resources

As students are required to complete this subject in industry placements they may incur travel and accommodation costs.
