Abstract:
In this subject students will complete a supervised clinical placement (148 h) and submit a comprehensive portfolio based on their experience. This provides students with the opportunity to integrate the theoretical knowledge gained in the subjects studied and practise and consolidate their skills in a clinical environment. Students will be required to demonstrate their ability to reflect and critically evaluate their practice.

Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- be able to demonstrate problem solving and decision making skills;

- be able to understand how to collect, prepare and analyse clinical data and/or specimens;
- be able to demonstrate an understanding of occupational health and safety and safe work practices relevant to the discipline;

- be able to reflect on their experience and maintain a portfolio identifying clinical / practical experiences and the learning that has taken place as a result of these experiences.
