Abstract:
Students prepare and defend in writing a detailed research proposal including a literature review in preparation for the research conducted in the dissertation subject BMS509 or BMS510 or BMS518 or PHM509. This will include completing relevant CSU human and/or animal ethical approval procedures.

Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
* have a knowledge of information sources and literature searching procedures;
* have developed skills in collating, evaluating and critically reviewing information on a specific topic;
* have developed a full research proposal in writing, including completion of all ethical requirements.
