Duration: One session
Abstract:
Students undertake a semester-long intensive radio industry internship with a commercial radio station or network. Internships are arranged in consultation with the course coordinator and members of Commercial Radio Australia (CRA). Students are also required to undertake a field research project that allows them to interrogate an industry issue of their choice.

Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- be able to demonstrate reflective practice in commercial radio by the construction of a report
- be able to utilise specifically chosen skills for commercial radio
- be able to demonstrate their understanding of research processes and sources for commercial radio activities
Syllabus:
The subject will cover the following topics:
- a 10-12 weeks supervised industry internship program, focusing on sales, promotions and copywriting - researching for commercial radio, using academic and industry research approaches - field reporting
