Abstract:

This subject extends on the skills acquired in previous design studio subjects by close examination of the design process from project inception to design presentation. Particular attention will be paid to working with the director's vision, how a director analysis the script and creates the vision. What cues and skills a designer needs to apply in creating the director's vision from artistic concept to design presentation.

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

- be able to work on a coherent and relevant design vision with a director in the design process
- be able to develop a design from project inception to design presentation
- be able to breakdown scripts for character analysis
- be able to develop design concepts within budget and personnel constraints
- be able to present a coherent and relevant design vision to an audience.
