EEB205 Developing Inclusive Family Partnerships, Policies & Practices (8)

CSU Discipline Area: Early Childhood Studies (ECHIL)

Abstract:

This subject focuses on the knowledge and skills required for early childhood educators to develop collaborative partnerships with families that are inclusive and allow for consultation and agreement on care practices, with the view that these partnerships are fundamental to the care of the child. It also explores the development of policies, practices and resources that support inclusiveness, diversity and respect for diversity within an early childhood setting for both educators and children. Strategies for developing policies and practices for working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families in children’s services will be considered.
