Abstract:
This subject is concerned with the examination of communication processes and skills that assist educators to facilitate learning and performance within the VET sector. In particular, the subject investigates a variety of communication techniques to enhance teaching and learning.

Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- be able to explain the communication process and to apply the related skills and knowledge in training and assessment contexts;
- demonstrate a range of communication techniques and training strategies that enhance teaching and learning; and
- identify the barriers to effective communication in the teaching and learning context and apply effective techniques to overcome these barriers.
