Abstract:
The Studio Pedagogy subjects are designed to provide students with practical instrumental teaching experiences and an awareness of a range of associated teaching methods and principles. This subject is the first of two subjects which will provide students with experience in teaching pupils from a beginner through to an advanced level. The focus of this subject is on teaching beginner to elementary level pupils.

Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- develop an understanding of a range of teaching methods relating to their instrument
- develop the ability to teach pupils from a beginner through to an elementary level
- have developed an understanding of issues relating to child protection.
