Assumed Knowledge:
Normally applicants will have Year 12 or equivalent, however applicants with other educational backgrounds will also be considered.
Enrolment restrictions:
Restricted to students enrolled in the CSU Pathway Program - Diploma of General Studies.
Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- have the skills and knowledge to apply the language and learning foundation skills they require to successfully engage in study at university level.
Syllabus:
The subject will cover the following topics:
- Apply critical and evaluative language and learning skills
- Analyse Political Concepts and Contexts
- Prepare and present complex information
- Research for specific purposes
- Read and respond to written text for further study
Residential School
This subject contains a compulsory 2 day residential school.
Students studying the distance education option will be required to attend one face-to-face session at the support hub in Dubbo.
