Abstract:

This subject introduces the concept of environmental impact assessment (EIA) and environmental auditing. The subject concentrates on the development of the environmental impact assessment process, Commonwealth and state based environmental planning and pollution laws and methodologies associated with impact prediction, environmental assessment and environmental auditing. There is a residential school associated with this subject, where students will be involved in a range of formative assessment tasks such as discussion sessions, presentations, group work, and  field work. The subject contains a total estimated workload of 155 hours.

  9. Environmental management systems
