Abstract:

In this subject students will learn how to train and assess individuals or small groups in workplaces through demonstration and instruction. They will do this within the context of a particular organisation and its policy and regulatory frameworks. Students will explore, apply and critique a range of theories relating to workplace learning and analyse the place of training in business. A practicum of 50 hours is included in this subject. This subject will include content from key Units of Competency from the TAE40110 Training Package.

This subject is not available to students who hold a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment TAA401 04 or TAE401 10.
This subject is not available to students who have completed EMC201 or EMC220 or EMC440 or EPT210 or EPT423 or EEB321 .

Workplace Learning

This subject contains a Compulsory Workplace Learning component of 6 days duration.

There are 50 hours of practicum for EPT322 is made up of the following components:
• Teaching/Assessing – approximately 15 hours
• Observing/investigating – approximately 15 hours
• Training development/administration – approximately 20 hours
