EPT445 Professional Experience: Internship (8)

Abstract:

This subject extends the development of prospective teachers to a point where they are able to assume the responsibilities and roles expected of a Graduate Teacher. It draws together pedagogical, foundational and curriculum aspects of the course. The internship is a minimum of 25 days duration in Terms 3 or 4 of the school year. It provides opportunities for students to be inducted into the profession. Placements in diverse non-school settings are encouraged. Field Studies Centres, isolated Aboriginal communities in the NSW, Northern Territory and Western Australia and international locations are offered as possible settings for the Internship experience.
