Abstract:

This subject has two strands; the first aims to present a comprehensive understanding of the graphic design industry and specifically the designer/client relationship. The second strand is aimed at properly preparing an effective and successful portfolio that reflects the student's skill and commitment.

Objectives:

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

- be able to produce complex and well resolved graphic solutions
- be able to present work in a professional manner to clients
- be able to pursue further tertiary studies at a post graduate level.

Syllabus:

The subject will cover the following topics:

The student working individually with the lecturer will plan a series of independent projects or commissions to be completed within a given time frame. This work will be professionally challenging and will form the basis of the student final folio. The student will work under the tutorial guidance and supervision of their subject lecturer.
