HHS211 Ageing and Mental Health (8)
CSU Discipline Area: Nursing, Midwifery and Indigenous Health (NRMIH)
Duration: One session
Abstract:
The need to consider the Ageing and Wellbeing of the Indigenous population raises many issues that are relatively new to many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. This is mainly due to the fact that many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people do not live as long as their counterparts within the wider Australian community. This subject assists students in identifying these issues. It helps them develop ways to assist ageing people and work towards promoting their wellbeing.
