HIP302 Understanding Healthy Communities (8)

Abstract:

This subject equips students with skills and knowledge about health promotion, community development, management, and leadership. Students will learn about evaluating community need, developing programs to meet identified needs, and how programs are implemented and evaluated. This will be complemented by learning about funding sources, how to write a grant application, and how to manage a budget. Leadership skills such as creating a common purpose, bringing people together, and balancing task and group processes will be discussed. Students will develop their leadership, community development, and project implementation skills.
