Abstract:
This subject is an independent research study in clinical sciences involving the critical review and evaluation of existing data and knowledge and/ if pre-approved, the collection, analysis and interpretation of new data. Students will be expected to relate their study to practical applications within their own area of professional practice ie nuclear medicine students will be expected to undertake a project which is related to the practice of nuclear medicine.

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
Have developed the knowledge, skills and capacity to analyse, evaluate and review current research literature;
Be able to apply the results to the practice of clinical sciences in the students' areas of specialisation.
Gain experience of producing research material for publication.
