This subject examines contemporary issues in Human Resource Management that are of importance in the academic study of human resources and/or in the practice of human resource management in Australian organisations.

Objectives:

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

- be able to identify and critically discuss contemporary debates and issues in the field of human resource management and their implications on a business's competitive advantage
- be able to relate how contemporary issues impact upon human resource management practices
- be able to deduce the implications of current issues upon theorising in the academic study of human resource management
- be able to describe best practice approaches to managing issues in human resource management
