Abstract:

This subject explores the theories of morality and Western ethics and their application in the exercise of moral judgement within an organisational and/or business context.  Typical ethical dilemmas that may be faced by employers and employees, including human resource managers, are highlighted and explored. This subject also deals with the theoretical bases, processes and organisational arrangements for dealing with conflict resolution in the workplace.  Conflict resolution is the link between rationalising ethical decision making and the soundness of cooperative problem solving, expressed in conflict resolution, that is of benefit to the individual, workplace and the global community.
