This subject requires research in primary sources on an approved topic and the submission of a dissertation of 15000 words.

BA (Honours) students only Not available to students who have previously completed HST-4016
Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- be able to undertake detailed research in primary sources and presented the findings of that research
- be able to demonstrate the ability to deploy higher level analytical skills
- be able to demonstrate a familiarity with the literature and issues of the chosen research field
