Abstract:

This subject introduces students to the Humanities and Social Sciences and outlines relevant career paths for students who study within this field. It explores the history of the Humanities and Social Sciences and its disciplines and relationship to Indigenous Australian peoples post colonisation. Students will be provided with an introduction to sociological theories and qualitative and quantitative research methods and how they apply to the study of society and Indigenous issues.
