Enrolment restrictions:
Available to students enrolled in Bachelor of Information Studies course only.
Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- be able to demonstrate an understanding of the structure, aims and content of the degree program;
- be able to prepare a study schedule for themselves;
- show that they can apply a range of study skills;
- be able to explain the role, importance and availability of a range of University services; and
- be able to explain how the University's online systems will facilitate their studies.
Syllabus:
The subject will cover the following topics:
- Structure and content of the BIS degree - Introduction to first year subjects - CSU online systems - Support services available from Charles Sturt University for distance education students.
