Abstract:
Issues and questions which arise from the candidates professional practice are identified and provide the basis of a well developed research proposal. Candidates will undertake a literature review related to the selected area of study. An ethics application will also be completed and submitted (where appropriate).

Only available to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Information Studies (Honours)
Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- have developed knowledge about the skills and expertise needed to undertake research in informtion studies, and be able to demonstrate this knowledge in a well developed research proposal;
- have developed an ethics application (where appropriate); and
- have developed report writing skills to a high professional level.

- Developing a research proposal
- Writing a literature review
- Ethics in professional research
