INF454 Information Studies Honours Dissertation (32)

Duration: Two sessions

Abstract:

Students will be supervised as they undertake a research project in a chosen field of information studies. Students will undertake a pilot of their study to resolve any issues related to design and then will proceed with the full study, analysis of data and the submission of the dissertation for examination. Students will be required to deliver a major seminar to the academic staff of the school prior to submission of their dissertation.

Only available to students enrolled in Bachelor of Information Studies (Honours)

Objectives:

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

- design and execute an individual research project appropriate to honours level;
- demonstrate an understanding of process in relation to ethics;
- apply their knowledge of research methods; and
- demonstrate competency in presenting their research.
