Abstract:
This subject is one of a suite of industrial experience subjects allowing a sufficiently flexible combination of subjects to reflect the subject equivalent load of a student's industry practice component of the course. Within these subjects a student will work in an industry placement and develop advanced level knowledge of the production of software projects. The student will also develop verbal and written skills in their field of expertise.

Enrolment restrictions:
Bachelor of Computer Science (Games Technology) students only and student must have a Credit grade point average for years 2 and 3, and Course Coordinator's approval.
Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
demonstrate knowledge and skills relevant to developing software in a professional environment;
demonstrate an advanced level of knowledge in an area of specialisation;
develop verbal and written skills relevant to advanced studies.
Syllabus:
The subject will cover the following topics:
All Bachelor of Computer Science (Games Technology) students are required to submit at least one progress report during their industrial practice. This mid-term review of progress will allow the identification of problem areas and the subsequent reassessment of work loads and requirements. The student will be required to produce a report of the work carried out during the industry practice.
