Abstract:
The aim of this subject is to give the students the skills and knowledge required to attain the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) industry certification in Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint. This subject prepares students to enter the IT workforce through the attainment of this entry-level industry certification. It plays a key part in the first phase of the Bachelor of Industry Computing by assisting students to gain key workforce credentials before embarking on the remainder of the program.

Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
be able to provide support for analysing, creating, modifying, and managing common business workbooks and worksheets;
be able to provide support for word processing software at the expert level;
be able to provide support for users of email software and use Outlook with other Office applications; and
be able to use presentation software to create presentations.
