Abstract:
This Subject provides detailed training on implementing Financial Crime risk practices in an organisation. The focus is on deterring and detecting Financial Crime by understanding the risk exposure of the organisation and implementing processes and technology to address the risks. Implementing this will also lead to compliance with relevant laws and regulation. Knowledge of Financial Crime techniques and the regulatory framework is assumed

Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- be able to demonstrate an understanding of theoretical concepts and underpinnings relating to fraud risk prevention
- be able to review, analyse, consolidate and synthesise best practice in risk management and fraud prevention
- be able to identify fraud risks and demonstrate an ability to apply the appropriate methodologies to minimise the risk of fraud and communicate these to a range of professional and academic audiences.

- Module 2: Management of Financial Crime Risk
- Module 3: Whistleblowers
- Module 4: Knowing your customer and employees – identification and ongoing due diligence
- Module 5: Emerging Risks
- Module 6: Case Studies
