MGI514 The Project Management Professional (8)

CSU Discipline Area: Unallocated to a CSU Discipline code (OTHER)

Duration: One session

Abstract:

This is an industry based subject based on the Professional Project Manager (PMP) industry certification from the Project Management Institute PMI®. The PMP Credential Program supports the international community of Project Management Professionals and is designed to objectively assess and measure experience, education and professional knowledge, the foundation of competent practice as a project manager. This is a high level accreditation and students would be expected to have completed MGI511 Project Management Fundamentals as well as a  minimum  4,500 hours project management experience. This subject prepares students to complete the Project Management Professional (PMP) accreditation with the Project Management Institute (PMI). However completion of the subject does not guarantee PMI approval to sit the PMP exam as the PMI requires extensive project management experience.
