Abstract:

Managing an organisation's information resources is an increasingly important managerial skill. This subject helps managers to seek out and interpret the financial and other data they need to help them to effectively manage projects and their work unit. Topics include startegies for managing the organisation's knowledge resources, project management, managing investments and finance, tracking financial position and performance, and managing budgets and costs.

. demonstrate how to track, report and analyse costs;
. explain the vital role of investment and finance decisions;

. demonstrate the interpretation of financial reports;
. describe the essentials of financial control and explain their importance in the work place.
