Abstract:
This subject introduces the concept and underlying principles of alliance management. The aspects of interorganisational governance that is a feature of alliances is explored. This is followed by an examination of the decision criteria that should be used to evaluate the viability of an alliance. Finally, the subject covers the essential features of tendering as an alliance.

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

Be able to explain how the governance of an alliance differs from the governance of constituent organisations
Be able to apply appropriate decision criteria regarding the formation of an alliance
Be able to describe the essential elements of tendering as an alliance.
