Abstract:
This subject integrates the various elements of alliance management that are required to achieve a successful outcome. It deals with the challenge of remaining on course throughout the life-cycle of the alliance, monitoring progress and making necessary adjustments to inputs. It considers some of the leading edge aspects of alliance management, as well as the integral delivery skills required of an alliance manager. Finally, post-alliance evaluation is specified in some detail.

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
Be able to identify the important aspects of alliance management that impact on the success or failure of alliances
Be able to specify the appropriate metrics for staying on course
Be able to explore the options for responding to feedback from alliance metrics
Be able to demonstrate appropriate skills for alliance management
Be able to demonstrate an appropriate strategy for the post-alliance evaluation of that alliance.
