Abstract:

This subject is designed to introduce the student to the practice and profession of paramedicine. The aim of the subject is to make paramedic students aware of the profession they will be entering by presenting the past, present, and future of paramedic practice both nationally and internationally. This subject will explore professional attributes required to be a paramedic and the role of the paramedic in the broader health and public safety systems.
