Abstract:
Students will write a 10 -15,000 word dissertation on a research topic in Philosophy, which they will devise in consultation with a member of the academic staff.

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
Be able to devise and carry through to completion research in an area of their own choosing
Have an in-depth knowledge of the area in which they wrote their dissertation
Be able to undertake more advanced postgraduate work
