This subject provides in-depth study at an advanced level of topics related to the discipline area selected by a student for a Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Master coursework program.

Restricted to students enrolled in Master of Applied Science (with specialisations) and other Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master coursework programs offered by the Faculty of Science and Agriculture

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
have a sound knowledge of technical and theory aspects of the nominated topic area
be able to evaluate the technical and theoretical knowledge and identify its potential for application to research or practical use.

This will be selected to meet the needs of an individual student. Topics must be approved by the School Post-graduate Coursework Co-ordinator. This subject forms part of a suite of subjects (SCI501 to SCI509 of the same or varied point value) to enable students to undertake separate units of study within a given course (including specialisation areas).
