CSU Discipline Area: Spatial Science (SPASC)
Duration: Two sessions
Abstract:
This is a capstone subject where students complete the documentation and implementation of a practical project applying spatial information systems to an area of relevance to the strand undertaken in their course. The completed project is expected to reflect the culmination of knowledge and skills acquired in earlier subjects of the course.

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
Be able to demonstrate mastery of the general skills, spatial information techniques and strand objectives taught in earlier subjects of the course.
Syllabus:
The subject will cover the following topics:
Students will work on an approved project which will relate the area of their specialisation to the general area of Spatial Information; Students will give one or more presentations during the course of the subject, describing their project to other students in the subject; Upon completion of the project, one or two lecturers will normally inspect each student project, and where appropriate talk to the system users. Full system documentation must be available at the time of the project inspection.
