Abstract:
This subject provides introductory fieldwork experience in working with individuals experiencing problems in communication. Fieldwork will take place in education, aged care, disability, residential care, health or community settings.

Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- have a developing understanding of the health care system;
- have knowledge of the range of settings in which clients with communication or swallowing disorders may present;
- have begun to develop their skills of reflection, evaluation, observation and clinical reasoning;
- have begun to integrate theory and practice in relation to communication;
