Abstract:

Transition to University Study is designed to better prepare students for successful study at university. This subject offers students an introduction into academic culture, and will allow them to become familiar with Charles Sturt University, its support systems and the expectations of tertiary study. Topics include university teaching and learning; managing self and time; reading, writing and reasoning; and preparing for and performing well in exams.

Transition to University Study is an online and self-paced subject that allows student discussion and interaction to assist students towards a successful transition to university. The Subject Coordinator will be available to support and facilitate student learning in this subject. At least 30 hours of personal study will be required to satisfactorily complete the subject.
