Abstract:
This is an independent research programme. Students produce a thesis by applying knowledge gained in prerequisite doctoral subjects and reflecting on their own social work practice.

Enrolment restrictions:
Restricted to students enrolled in the Doctor of Social Work.
Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- be able to demonstrate an ability to critically investigate applied and theoretical problems in social work
- be able to demonstrate the ability to apply the standards and skills developed during doctoral coursework to the completion of the doctoral dissertation or portfolio
- be able to demonstrate their capacity to produce written work of a very high standard

- production of an independent research thesis
