Abstract:

This subject explores the development of the Christian understanding of God as Trinity and its relationship to worship, faith and doctrine. It investigates both the biblical witness to the revelation of God in Jesus Christ and classical controversies about the implications of this for responsible speech about God. Special attention is given to a variety of contemporary reinterpretations of trinitarian thought and their implications for ethics, community, spirituality and interfaith dialogue.
