Abstract:
In this subject students are required to identify and address a challenge in diaconal ministry. They will be expected to provide a situational analysis; a vision and ministry strategy for the exercise of the diaconate in a specific context. The proposal will be expected to reflect a developed theology of the diaconate.

Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- be able to reflect on the diaconate, in the context of a specific ministry proposal;
- be able to show appropriate analysis and understanding in regard to the secular and professional dimensions of that ministry context;
- be able to comprehend and apply appropriate academic conventions and practices in research at a graduate level;
- be able to develop a clear statement of project outcomes and a framework for evaluation;
- be able to reflect a developed theology of the diaconate.
