THL495 Mark in the Market Place (8)

CSU Discipline Area: Theology (THEOL)

Duration: One session

Abstract:

This subject builds on the skills of exegetical exploration and theological reflection on biblical texts, as studied in THL481, and brings them into engagement with theoretical perspectives and practical strategies involved in the conduct of Christian theology in the public square. It pays particular attention to the Gospel according to Mark, reading it as a narrative of the ways in which Jesus engaged with public issues in his own time.
