This subject provides students with an understanding of how the ethical, philosophical and religious perspectives of a school or religious community shape the religious and values education program of its members. Students examine how the theoretical aspects relate to the practical experiences. Approaches to religious education, ranging from traditional to conservative to liberal and progressive models and how these are enacted in the school or parish context will be investigated. Students will study the context and culture of a particular RaVE setting, and reflect critically on the professional issues posed for them as educators.
