THM308 Applied Production Research (16)
CSU Discipline Area: Communication (COMUN)
Duration: One session
Abstract:
Selected research perspectives are used to analyse a lecturer-directed production, leading to the presentation of a post-production qualitative case study. This subject consolidates and extends the skills which participants have gained through previous study and practice - especially those skills which are required to sustain graduates as innovative and knowledgeable directors and creative producers in professional arts/media contexts. Participants project manage multiple events throughout the session, from concept development through to post-production acquittals and final report. Also, a detailed site analysis and set model are prepared to illustrate a viva voce pitch for a future project. This pitch includes the concept proposal, the communication strategy, and the media kit as part of the pre-production planning for a major research project undertaken during the Spring Session, in THM309.
