Abstract:
This subject allows candidates to develop further clinical skills and knowledge in a selected discipline to a Masters level, cognitive skills and abilities to integrate the current and new knowledge in professional practice.

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

- Develop cognitive skills and intellectual independence to demonstrate advanced understanding of theoretical knowledge underpinning the selected discipline
- Develop cognitive and technical skills to integrate theoretical knowledge in professional practice
- Develop communication skills relevant to professional practice
Syllabus:
The subject will cover the following topics:
- The candidate will select the discipline under the guidance of the supervisor
- During the subject the candidates:
- - Undertake Workplace Learning in the selected discipline for development of skills and knowledge
- - Keep a log of all clinical activities undertaken
- - Deliver a case presentation demonstrating integration of knowledge
- - Contribute to case discussion forums
- - Produce a written case report

This subject contains a Compulsory Workplace Learning component of min59 days duration.
The Workplace Learning will be undertaken at one enterprise, which is relevant to the selected discipline to allow professional practice training. The amount of workplace learning will be as per the negotiated contract between student and supervisory team.
